SPRING ROWING

Get ready for 14 weeks of high-energy training and racing from February 24 to June 2. Students will work to master rowing and put their skills to the test during action-packed regattas.

STEP 1—

To participate in Spring Rowing, your athlete must follow these steps with Rockford Public Schools:

Register your athlete
Upload a copy of your athlete’s sports physical
Pay the RPS pay-to-play fee of $120

STEP 2—

Spring rowing dues are $660 and are due by February 21, 12:00pm.

Spring dues include:

All in-season races from Spring Sprints to CSSRA Championships (Nationals is not included in Spring dues—those costs will be split by qualifying rowers who are invited to race)
Regatta entry fees
Food
Team shirt
Transportation
Lodging
Salaries for coaches (rowing, weightlifting, yoga)

Important notes:

For athletes with fundraising credit, we will email your total credit and updated Spring dues.
If you would like to spread dues across two payments (February 28 and March 28) choose that option in the registration form.
If you’re having difficulty paying Spring dues, email Keith Swem at treasurer@rockfordrowing.com to inquire about scholarships by no later than February 28.

Rowers need up-to-date uniforms (new styles from Fall 2023) to compete at regattas. Uniform orders must be placed by February 21 at 12:00pm.

Download the SportsYou App (Apple|Android). It’s the Communication Portal for both parents and students. You will receive the sign-in code by email after registration.
